Thoughts from a wretched man who sought the amazing grace of God. Soli Deo Gloria !!!

the sweeter melody: The Beauty of Theology.

thesweetermelody:

And why it matters.

One year ago, if you told me that I was to be a Reformed Charismatic that upheld the five points of TULIP and the five solas, who rejected antinomianism, a complementarian hendonist who believed in a post-trib rapture, and was almost over the line with covenant theology, I…

Since we have the same spirit of faith according to what has been written, “I believed, and so I spoke,” we also believe, and so we also speak, knowing that he who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus and bring us with you into his presence. For it is all for your sake, so that as grace extends to more and more people it may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God.
So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

If your view of Scripture is different than Jesus’ view of Scripture, then your view is wrong.

#ReasonsWhyILoveSummer
My newly bought guitar pick just broke today due to intensive strumming. Sayang favorite ko pa naman sya :(. But anyway it’s okay, I have a great time and enjoyed playing some songs from Brooke Fraser’s recent album “Flags”. Actually, this is one of the reasons why I love summer. I mean, you could just sit down and feel the rays of the sun permeate the room where you are sitting and just have a one-on-one moment on stuff that you love to do. This afternoon, I spend so much time playing with my acoustic guitar with this awesome album.
Nothing beats home ika nga. Ang saya saya ko lang. Pag school days kasi bihira ko lang magawa ang mga ito… That’s why I have to say, I’m so inspired today.
“Open your mouth / sing out your song / life is short as the day is long / I can’t leave you my body / But I’ll leave you a tune. / This is my legacy / Here’s to you.
- Brooke Fraser, “Here’s To You”
Magandang Hapon! :)

Love that song too…

I’m Back….

Sorry to wait you long. I’ve rested my Tumblr fingers for two months because I have to settle some things outside the virtual world. But don’t worry. The Struggling Christian is now online to inspire you.

A New Beginning: Holiness or Hardness Towards God

hellomynameisliv:

The reason many of us stop praying and become hard toward God is that we only have an emotional interest in prayer. It sounds good to say that we pray, and we read books on prayer which tell us that prayer is beneficial— that our minds are quieted and our souls are uplifted when we pray. But…

No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
